Frequently Asked Questions
GENERAL INFORMATION
-
What is Jungle Memory?
Jungle Memory is an online training program designed to dramatically improve working memory and grades. The program directly trains working memory to stimulate how children learn. The end result is improved classroom performance and higher grades.
-
Who should use Jungle Memory?
Everyone between 6 and 16 years old! All students, whether bright or with learning difficulties, improve after training.
-
How long is a subscription to Jungle Memory?
When you buy Jungle Memory, you will receive an 8-week subscription. Your 8-week subscription begins when your child plays the games for the first time.
-
Does my child need to use Jungle Memory with a parent or a teacher?
No, Jungle Memory is designed to be self-directed. Some schools opt to use Jungle Memory as a group in the computer lab.
-
How often should my child play Jungle Memory?
Working memory is your brain’s muscle. The more you play it, the stronger your working memory becomes. Clinical trials demonstrate optimal benefits when Jungle Memory is used 4x a week for 8 weeks.
-
How do I know my child is improving?
Clinical trials show that students who used Jungle Memory increased their grades in just 8 weeks. Jungle Memory provides customized feedback at the end of each training session: you can see how much your child has improved since starting and also compare their performance with peers. These reports can be printed out as well (see Understanding Graphs).
-
I can’t play all the games.
Here are some reasons why:
1. The program has timed out. You will be logged out after a period of inactivity (usually 20 minutes). If this happens, close the browser and reopen it. If you need to take a break between games, you can close the page as the program will record all your details automatically after each game.
2. Do not click the ‘Back’ button on your internet browser. After you finish playing a game, please click ‘Next’ to return to the home page. This is essential as it is where the scores and graph positions are calculated and recorded.
3. Enable Javascript on your internet browser (see Technical Support).
-
Can my son use my daughter's subscription?
No, Jungle Memory adapts to both the age and the ability of the individual. It also provides personalized feedback on the basis of the user's age and ability. If more than one person uses the account, the training will not be able to adapt to the user's age or ability and the feedback will not be accurate.
-
How much does Jungle Memory cost in a different currency?
The price of Jungle Memory is listed in USD. You can find out the conversion between USD and your local currency using a number of online websites that update this information regularly. One example is: www.xe.com

UNDERSTANDING THE GRAPHS
-
What do the STATS show?
Graph 1 shows how much your child has improved since they started playing JungleMemory. It compares their improvement from Day 1 to the Current Day.
Graph 2 shows you where your child stands in a line of 100 children of the same age, for each game. The higher the number, the better they are. Graph 2 is based on thousands of children of the same age as your child and the average levels for their age. According to such normative data, percentiles scores between 15 to 85 are in the normal range, while percentiles scores higher then 85 are above average.
-
Why are there only 2 lines in Graph 1?
Graph 1 shows how much your child has improved since they started playing JungleMemory. It may be that your child is performing at the same level in two of the games such as Quicksand and Code Breaker. This means that the red line is laying on top of the green line. If you scroll your mouse over the green line, you will notice 2 numbers which represent both games.
-
My son got all the answers for Quicksand and Code Breaker correct but only got a score of 1 in Graph 1, why?
Graph 1 shows how much your child has improved since they started playing JungleMemory. It compares their improvement from Day 1 to the Current Day.
If they have only played for 1 day, they will have a score of 1. As they continue to train, this number will increase as they play harder levels.
-
Why does my daughter have a score of 1 in Graph 1 after playing for three days?
Jungle Memory adapts to the age and the ability of the individual. In order to move on to a harder level and for the score to go up in Graph 1, you need to get 8 out of 10 bananas to move on.
-
What does a score of 50 mean in Graph 2?
Graph 2 shows you where your child stands in a line of 100 children of the same age, for each game. The higher the number, the better they are. A score of 50 represents average working memory performance for their age group.
-
My subscription has ended but I would like to a copy of my son's performance.
You can now log in to view your child’s final results. Please follow these steps:
1. Log in as a Guardian
2. Click on 'View Children' to see their details
-
I only see stats for 2 games in Graph 1 and 2, what happened to the 3rd game?
The Stats for the third game may not show up yet because your child is currently at Level 1 in this game. Once they move up to the next level, these stats will be shown on Graph 1 and 2.
